Scams, deceit, and toxic living
Any honest observer will acknowledge that corrupt business practices have exited everywhere and throughout time.
This is an interesting video that covers some of the creepier schemes that taint food products in mainland China.
Ironically, one of the many phony excuses conjured for “needing” a communist revolution is that it will eliminate the deceptions that occur in a society “based on greed”(freedom).
Of course, the actual track records are pretty clear. A developed free-market with a dependable and consistent rule of law tends to offer more trustworthy interactions between merchant and customer. Western free-market societies certainly have a long way to go before one can truly feel that products are
unadulterated. Many food additives are literally toxic but I think most would find them preferable to what you’ll see in the video.
